Day 4ILLARNEYDUBLIN - ROCK OF CASHEL - KILLARNEY (4 NIGHTS): Leave the capital city and drive through scenic countryside to visit the spectacular Rock of Cashel. This is reputed to be the site of the conversion of the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century. Its rich heritage is reflected in the picturesque complex of fortified town houses, a medieval monastery and a Georgian Cathedral. It also has one of the most remarkable collections of Celtic art and medieval architecture to be found anywhere in Europe. A trip to Ireland would not be complete without a visit to Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney Stone which will give you the gift of the gab! View the thatched cottages in the village of Adare and then travel on to Killaloe on Lough Derg. A special treat here will be a homemade Guinness Stew and soda bread cooking demonstration - you will get to enjoy the results for lunch! Then follow the roads through Portroe and Nenagh before making a last stop at St. Brigid's Church in Kildare for an included visit. St. Brigid is one of Ireland's patron saints along with St. Patrick and St. Columba.
